South West Art is currently offering individual artists, arts groups, organisations and community organisations access to a Country Arts Support Program to support arts activities, professional development and projects within the South West Arts service region. This service area includes the following local government areas:
Berrigan Shire Council
Edward River Council
Murray River Council
Balranald Shire Council
Hay Shire Council
Carrathool Shire Council
Moira Shire, Campaspe Shire, Gannawarra Shire and the Rural City of Swan Hill Community Arts Organisations and artists are eligible to apply where it can be demonstrated that there is a substantial benefit to, or outcome in the South West Arts service region in NSW.
It is proposed that the CASP will be able to be accessed by artists, Indigenous organisations, businesses, arts organisations, not-for-profit organisations, museums, and galleries.
Local Government can also apply where Council offers a co-contribution of 50% or greater.
The scope of how the CASP can be used is broad and allows for activities such as projects that deliver broad community benefit, projects that may be important to an individual artist to support the growth of their arts practice, small capital grants for local galleries, museums and community organisations to improve their facilities as well as delivering workshops, professional development and arts and cultural events.
CASP is divided into three sections:

Grant A: Individual artists

Grant B: Community groups, arts organisations, museums and galleries (including privately run facilities

Grant C: Community activities -LGA’s and businesses are eligible to apply for this category in addition to arts and cultural organisations, museums, galleries and individual artists.
