Arts OutWest has announced the appointment of a new Executive Director for the organisation! Kylie Shead, previously the Creative Producer at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC) for over 15 years, will take over the role officially from 21 March.

During her time at BMEC, Kylie developed new programs, and supported theatre-makers in the region while producing new work. Kylie has a long association with Arts OutWest as a contract project manager prior to working for Bathurst Regional Council and as a past board member. Kylie also brings a wealth of experience in areas like funding both in her role at BMEC and as an assessor on funding assessment panels for Create NSW.

Kylie is looking forward to working with the board and staff of Arts OutWest.

“I’m thrilled to be working with such a great team, and to have the opportunity to support work with artists and arts practice across the region,” Ms Shead said.

“The Arts OutWest board are delighted to have someone of Kylie’s commitment to the arts sector, wide base of skills, strong industry experience and long-term knowledge of the Central West coming in to lead the Organisation,” said Arts OutWest chair Fran Charge.
