RANSW Advisory Council appoints 3 new Board Directors

On Wednesday 20th May 2026, Regional Arts NSW held our annual in-person Advisory Council meeting, Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Annual Dinner at our office in The Rocks NSW.
Our Advisory Council is made up of the Board Chairs of each member Regional Arts Development Organisation (RADO) from across NSW. We really value this time with our RADO representatives because we can hear their concerns, struggles and successes. As a group, we can help each other overcome the challenge of isolation that comes from being based in the regions. We can also stand together as a network of art support organisations to help create a stronger arts sector in regional NSW as a whole.
This year RANSW is farewelling our Board Chair, Dr Jane Kreis (Director of Grafton Regional Gallery), Deputy Chair, Julia Andrews (Director of Regional Government Relations at Charles Sturt University), Treasurer, Ray Davey (former Director, Infrastructure and Development at Balranald Shire Council) and Board Director Lorrayne Fishenden (CEO of the Aboriginal Regional Arts Alliance).
We would like to thank all our outgoing directors for their significant contributions. They have all provided valuable skills and expertise and helped guide our organisation through a particularly challenging period in our history. Their guidance has allowed us to continue operating through funding cuts and have brought us into a new chapter of security. In particular, we would like to thank Jane for her work as our Chair since 2023. We will miss you all very much!
At the AGM the Advisory Council and RANSW Board appointed three new regional Board Directors. We are welcoming Matthew Hall (National Manager Systemic Advocacy & Policy at the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO)), Leigh Small (Executive Director of Four Winds, Bermagui) and Natalie Bramble (CEO and Co-Founder of NFP Guide). We look forward to working with them and value the skills they bring to our Board.
Following the AGM, Caroline Downer OAM (CEO of the Tuggeranong Arts Centre) was appointed interim Chair of the RANSW Board, Tim Kurylowicz (Manager of Museum of the Riverina) is now our Deputy-Chair and Natalie Bramble will take on the role of Treasurer.
