Gunnedah’s NAIDOC Week Art exhibition will open on Friday July 8, at the Bicentennial Creative Arts Gallery, headlining this years theme – “Get up! Stand up! Show up!”.

The annual art exhibition is a key element of Gunnedah Shire’s NAIDOC Week celebrations, and will be a space to share valuable stories of culture and identity, to start conversations and enrich understanding.

“The NAIDOC Week exhibition provides the ideal opportunity to celebrate the depth and vibrancy of Indigenous culture in our region,” Gunnedah Shire Council’s Cultural Precinct Team Leader Lauren Mackley said.

“It’s always exciting to see a vast array of artworks from throughout our community and I’m looking forward to seeing the display of creativity in the gallery.”

The exhibition will be open until Friday August 5.
