You’re invited to DANCE DIALOGUES OUTSIDE THE CITY: BEYOND THE LIMITS a one-day gathering focused on the future of the Regional NSW dance sector.

Running concurrently to the IMPACT Festival 2026, the event shines a spotlight on regional dance practice, bringing together artists, organisations, advocates and sector leaders for a day of discussion, exchange and connection.

The day will bring together artists, producers, presenters, arts workers and organisations to explore the opportunities, challenges and future needs of dance across Regional NSW.

Through panels, roundtables, conversations, artist spotlights and networking, the event will support dialogue, visibility and advocacy while celebrating the diversity of regional dance practice.

DANCE DIALOGUES fosters meaningful conversations by creating a safe and inclusive space where artists and practitioners from diverse cultural backgrounds, dance genres and career stages can share their experiences, challenges and aspirations for the regional sector.

The Regional Artist Travel Assistance Fund is available to support artists with the costs of attending. 

Impact Festival warmly encourages Expressions of Interest from artists and organisations representing the rich diversity of regional NSW. Whether your work is contemporary, traditional, community-based, experimental, interdisciplinary, cultural, or grounded in community and cultural leadership, we invite you to share your stories, ideas and creative practice with colleagues from across the state.

Stay for the weekend and join us for the Impact Festival 2026. Running concurrently with DANCE DIALOGUES, the Impact Festival is three days of performances, free events, dance-on-film screenings, workshops, artist talks and networking opportunities.
