All About the Material is an exhibition that showcases the prolific practice of Gilgandra-based potter, Geoff Thomas as he explores both the materiality and processes involved in creating wood-fired pottery. Drawing on East Asian pottery practices, Thomas reflects on his own identity and roles as farmer and potter, using clay as the medium to convey beauty within both worlds.

Showing now at the Western Plains Cultural Centre, All About the Materialis a body of work that combines process, experimentation and chance as overarching elements that influence the outcome. Curated by Mariam Abboud. This is a HomeGround exhibition, produced by WPCC and supported by Orana Arts. HomeGround is sponsored by Wingewarra Dental.
