Call for entries is now open for the Basil Sellers Art Prize, a biennial competition celebrating classic artistic excellence in 2D artworks and offers a prize pool of over $30,000. The art prize champions artists working in traditional mediums of painting, drawing or unique state printmaking.

Housed in the Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre (the Bas) on the far South Coast of NSW the prize has increased its reach in 2022 to include artists from across Australia.  As a regional exhibition centre, the Bas understand that artistic excellence can be found in a variety of places so artists from all parts of the country – capital cities to country towns alike, are encouraged to enter.
The Basil Sellers Art Prize call for entries closes on July 29, 2022. The finalist exhibition opens with the announcement of the winners Friday 7 October 2022.

In 2022 the prize is poised to become a nationwide prize with a new direction for the latest evolution and an increased major prize of $25,000. The prize will champion 2D artworks in traditional medium and will call for entries from across Australia. The Eurobodalla award will continue to support local artists, ensuring their important place within the prize is safeguarded, while showcasing our local talent on a national stage.

Entries close July 29, 2022.
