SCULPTURE Bermagui is in it’s 16th year, bringing diverse three dimensional art to be showcased to the public. With a wide range of prizes to be won, the 2021 prizes and awards totalled $39,400 in cash value.
As one of the region’s top flagship events, hosted on the unspoilt coastal Dickinson Point headland, the outdoor sculpture category provides a large space for the display of large or small scale sculptures. The Indoor works are curated in the nearby Bermagui Surf Club out of the elements, to enable appreciation of them and their more vulnerable nature.
There is often a large focus on recycled materials and a lean towards nautical or nature based themes due to the location, however no theme is designated allowing free reign for artists to express their work.
