Registrations are now open for Arts Mid North Coast’s 2022 Creative Recovery Training program! The program offers training for those who wish to work in communities that have been affected by disasters – in the immediate after-effect and then into the community’s recovery journey.

The training is an introduction level engagement to establish an understanding of the disaster context and trauma-informed best practices in working with communities impacted by disaster. The program begins on the first evening with a story-sharing supper with local First Nations Elders, followed by two days of intensive workshops.

Important: This is an intensive ‘Facilitator Training’ program and you will need to have experience working with diverse groups of people. This is not a program designed to produce your own artwork or receive art therapy within our structure; you are required to have a clear understanding of the difference between working as an artist and working as a facilitator in a creative setting.
