As part of an Arts North West Initiative, the inaugural Gather and Trade Aboriginal Artisans Market calls for all Aboriginal artists, makers, creators or growers from the Arts North West Local Government Area footprint to apply by an expression of interest process.
The Artisans Market was to be held at the Fitzroy Street precinct in Tamworth on the 27th & 28th November 2021. Due to the continuing Covid-19 lockdowns, the market has been postponed to be held in 2022, with a date to be decided upon.
In the interim, Arts North West have decided to run an online Gather and Trade market via the Arts North West website in November for local Aboriginal artists, artisans and cultural practitioners to sell their creative works and cultural products.
The purpose of the Gather and Trade Aboriginal Artisans Market is to celebrate Aboriginal arts, culture and music while gathering together to trade.
