The Cultural Tourism Capacity Grant is now open and available to people and arts organisations living in the Northern Rivers region that have been affected by flooding in the area. Funding for organisations will be provided through a negotiated process with the Regional Arts Development Organisation, Arts Northern Rivers.

The grant offers a series of targeted grants to regain Cultural Tourism capacity in SouthEast Queensland and Far North NSW. Working with Queensland and NSW Regional Program Administrators, individuals will be able to apply for up to $2,500 with organisations required to apply for the full $15,000 to assist in rebuilding their capacity to offer Cultural Tourism products.

The Cultural Tourism Capacity Grant aims to build capacity for an artist/arts worker or arts organisation to realise these eventual goals:

• Support place-based programs to increase visitation
• Build consumer confidence and activate engagement
• Drive engagement across communities and between regions
• Support sector-led responses
