Save the date for the Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival this October 21-23, 2022! From well-known names on the literary scene to emerging authors with stories to tell, you’ll be enlivened and entertained, moved and inspired. We’ve got some surprises in store – you might even find yourself at an author event in a cable car, sipping champagne high above the Jamison Valley!
Events take place across a Festival precinct that incorporates iconic art-deco venues, including the historic Carrington Hotel Ballroom, Grand Dining Room, the Avalon and the Baroque Room. The Blue Mountains Cultural Centre and Library will host workshops, along with the Eleanor Dark stage, a 250-person capacity marquee perched high over Katoomba’s escarpment.
The Festival precinct is fully walkable, with all venues contained within a 500-metre radius.
The Carrington Hotel in Katoomba will be the Festival Hub, and the site of the main stages and venues. Many of the writers, panellists and hosts will be staying at this charming venue.
Treat yourself to a weekend of inspiration and connection by celebrating at the Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival.
Ticket prices to be announced.
