The Screenrights Cultural Fund awards up to $50,000 per initiative to support projects that foster the creation and appreciation of screen content in Australia and New Zealand. The total available funding pool in 2022 is $250,000.

Now in its fifth year, this year Screenrights is accepting expressions of interest from applicants who are less experienced in funding submissions or who may like to draw on extra assistance Screenrights will be providing to help shape their applications to maximise their chance of funding. The push is aimed at strengthening the chance of funding for more diverse projects and reducing barriers to entry.

The Screenrights Cultural Fund is not a development or production fund. You can learn more about this year’s funding round from Board Directors Geoffrey Atherden and Rachel Antony via IF Magazine and RNZ’s Standing Room Only.

Applications are open now and will close on Friday 15 April.
