Indigenous Arts Research Project

From February to June 2009, with the assistance of funding from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) through the Emerging Indigenous Entrepreneur Initiative program, RANSW employed Ruben Allas to conduct research on economically sustainable Indigenous artists’ ventures in NSW. This research included the mapping of existing Indigenous arts centres, art businesses and artists, exploring key market areas, researching relevant funding programs and services and conducting a survey of stakeholder views.
