Two new positions vacant in the Northern Rivers
region (Ballina)
REGIONAL ARTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (RADO)
Salary: $55,000 pa + car
A unique opportunity for an energetic and skilled individual to
be the ground-breaker for a new arts development region comprising
ten Local Government areas of Ballina, Byron, Copmanhurst, Grafton,
Kyogle, Lismore, Maclean, Pristine Waters, Richmond Valley and Tweed.
Working with the Steering Committee, the position will establish
a new Regional Arts Board and operational office, develop a regional
strategic plan for the Board in consultation with local stakeholders
and establish strategic alliances in the region.
Applicants must demonstrate sound understanding of the issues, practices
and processes of regional arts development and Local Government
and possess strong arts and cultural planning, consultation, communication,
programming and administration skills.

REGIONAL ARTS PROJECT OFFICER (RAPO)
Salary $45,000 pa + car
Working closely with the Regional Arts Development Officer, this
position provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual
to work with arts and cultural groups in the region to develop a
regional projects program that provides sound community benefit
outcomes.
The focus of the work is on capacity building through arts and cultural
development projects and includes working closely with volunteer
arts and cultural groups and local government across the region.
Applicants must demonstrate high levels of skill in arts and cultural
project development, program planning, consultation, accessing funding
and working with volunteer groups.
