The Lorne Sculpture Biennale | Expressions of Interest

saso.creative | Phantom Art Prize: The Phantom Downunder

The Ghost Who Walks is coming to Coffs Harbour! This fantastic exhibition at the Bunker Cartoon Gallery will feature works by some of Australia’s foremost and best loved artists, including Gary Shead, Charles Blackman, Dick Frizzle, Arthur Boyd, Michael Leunig, Reg Mombassa, and works by the curators Peter Kingston and Dietmar Lederwasch.

In conjunction with the Phantom Art Show and the Bunker and in support of local artists, saso.creative is very pleased to announce the saso.creative Phantom Downunder Art Prize: The Phantom and the Australian Experience.

The competition is open to all artists working in all media (except edible) and boasts total prize money of $1500.

John Fries Award | Entries Open

he John Fries Award  is an annual $10,000 art prize recognising the talents of early career visual artists. Call for Entries to the 2017 John Fries Award are now open.

Since its humble beginnings in 2010, the Award has established itself as a platform for some of the most engaging and experimental works from the next wave of contemporary artists from across Australia and New Zealand.

The prize was established by the Fries family in memory of former Viscopy director and honorary treasurer, John Fries, who made a remarkable contribution to the life and success of the organisation.

Calls for Entries closes 27 February 2017.
