Entries are now open for Muswellbrook's annual Blue Heeler Film Festival. Emerging creatives are invited to enter their short films and animations in this story rich rural festival. Films can be of any genre or theme, with stories exploring aspects of rural life encouraged. Read more

Creating community connections through storytelling

The New England Writers' Centre hosted its first 'story starter' community storytelling session in August, as part of the Stories Connect program. Funded by CASP, the Stories Connect program encourages creative expression and connections between newly-resettled Ezidi refugee families and the broader Armidale community, through the sharing and creation of stories, pictures and music. Hay students participate in MAAS Regional Outreach Program

Last week, school students in Hay participated in MAAS STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) workshops.
