Jamie-Lea Trindall - creativity shines in the far west

Jamie-Lea Trindall is the Executive Director of Outback Arts. Born in Coonamble NSW, Jamie-Lea completed her HSC at Coonamble High School and went on to undertake her Bachelor of Art Education College of Fine Arts UNSW, with a major in Sculpture and a minor in Photography, immersing herself in Art Education, Aboriginal history and the research roles of arts workers. In 2009 Jamie-Lea returned to her hometown to take on the role of Executive Director for Outback Arts. Read more

Artstate heads to Wagga Wagga in 2020

Wagga Wagga has been announced as the host city for Artstate 2020, a celebration of excellence in Arts and Culture in Regional NSW presented by Regional Arts NSW and Eastern Riverina Arts. Read more

Creating community connections through storytelling

The New England Writers' Centre hosted its first 'story starter' community storytelling session in August, as part of the Stories Connect program. Funded by CASP, the Stories Connect program encourages creative expression and connections between newly-resettled Ezidi refugee families and the broader Armidale community, through the sharing and creation of stories, pictures and music.
