What is PROP UPS?

PROP UPS is a Quick Response Grants Program aimed at supporting innovative performing arts programming in regional communities in NSW and encouraging new performance initiatives and audience development.

A limited amount of funding is available throughout the year via the Country Arts Support Program (more about CASP here) to assist community presenters cover the costs of bringing a professional tour into the region or the costs of mounting and/or touring a local professional production.

The objectives are to support performance related community cultural development in regional and rural New South Wales through small grants which:

• assist locally determined community cultural activities
• increase opportunities for regionally-based groups to access a diverse range of arts programs
• enable communities to explore and express their cultural identities
• bring social and economic benefits to the community through training, employment and promotional opportunities and
• lead to greater awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity

Applications for PROP UPS can be made at any time during the year.

Applications

Applicants should first contact their local Regional Arts Board (RAB) (details provided both in the Application Form below and on this website here) or the Funding and Research Officer at Regional Arts NSW (for areas not serviced by a RAB) to discuss their proposal, before submitting an application.

You may also request copies from your local Regional Arts Development Office (RADO) (see here) or, if you aren't in an area serviced by a RADO, from the Funding & Research Officer or Grant Officer at Regional Arts NSW Tel 02 9270 2500 ext 8 Email funding@regionalartsnsw.com.au.
