Visions of Australia I Regional Exhibition Touring Fund

Ministry for the Arts

Supports Australian cultural material to reach regional and remote communities across Australia. Grants are available to support the costs to develop and tour exhibitions of cultural material that has historic, scientific, design, social or artistic significance. There is no limit on the amount that can be requested. Read more

Festivals Australia I Regional Program Fund

Ministry for the Arts

Festivals Australia funding is now open for applications.

Administered by the Ministry for the Arts it enables artists and organisations to shape Australia’s cultural landscape, increase cultural diversity and inspire, educate and entertain audiences across Australia.

It provides access to arts projects that grow audiences at festivals across regional Australia, support partnerships and collaboration and encourage community participation in arts projects at regional and remote festivals.

Indigenous Languages and Arts (Languages) Support

This funding supports language centres and other organisations to conduct activities and to provide employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander language workers in funded organisations.

On occasions the ministry provides one off or special purpose grants that are designed to meet a specific policy outcome or urgent or specialised requirement. Funding proposals for one off or special purpose grants may be submitted at any time. Read more

Indigenous Languages and Arts Program

The Australian Government acknowledges the intrinsic value of Indigenous culture for all Australians and Australia as a nation. Language and art form a large part of culture and are essential to the well-being and identity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. They play an integral role in maintaining the sustainability, vitality and strength of Indigenous communities.

The Indigenous Languages and Arts program (ILA) provides funding for projects and organisations that support participation in and maintenance of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through languages and arts. Read more

Catalyst - Australian Arts and Cultural Fund

Catalyst is the Australian Government’s new funding program for the arts. It will invest $12 million each year in innovative projects and initiatives from arts and cultural organisations.

Catalyst will assist organisations to forge new creative and financial partnerships and stimulate innovative ways to build participation by Australians in our cultural life. It will enable access to high quality arts experiences in regional communities and international activities that achieve cultural diplomacy objectives.

This grant works in quarterly rounds. Submissions must be made by midnight (AEST) 15 June for activities commencing after October 2016. Read more

Institute for Provocation Residency in China

The Institute for Provocation (IFP) is an artist-run workspace, think tank and project space that supports artistic research across the fields of visual art, architecture and design through residencies, research projects, workshops and lectures. As a workspace, IFP focuses on research practice and critical engagement with process, while cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural interaction provides a unique platform for the facilitation of work by individual artists. The residency programme is a core activity of IFP, offering the resident/s an environment that aims to initiate provocations on an artistic and collaborative level. Read more
