Aboriginal Affairs, NSW Department of Education

OCHRE, the NSW Government Plan for Aboriginal affairs, supports initiatives that improve Aboriginal people’s social, cultural and economic wellbeing.

The ‘Our Languages, Our Way’ language grant program will fund Aboriginal community driven projects to strengthen community ownership and participation in language revitalisation projects.

NAIDOC Week Grants

NAIDOC Week is held annually in the first full week of July.  It is a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and is an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our society.

Aboriginal Affairs offers grants to support NAIDOC celebrations and events within communities across NSW.

Applicants are invited to apply for funding in the order of $500 – $1,000, and for more significant events up to $3,000 can be considered.

This grant is closed for 2016 and will re-open in 2017. Read more
