Dobell Exhibition Grant

Museums and Galleries NSW

supported by the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation, offers $40,000 in funding to one regional NSW gallery per annum. The program aims to support high quality exhibitions that speak to a broad audience across NSW. To assist in expanding appreciation for the visual arts, these exhibitions should be supported by innovative public and education programs that creatively engage both artists and the community.

Festivals Australia

Australian Government Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications

Festivals Australia supports community participation in, and access to, the arts and aims to support partnerships and collaboration across the sector.

Festivals Australia funds high-quality arts and cultural heritage projects that invite community participation and audience engagement. Projects can include but are not limited to a parade, performance, workshop, installation or exhibition.

The aim is to give community members living in regional or remote Australia the chance to participate in or attend an arts experience at a festival, or a significant one-off community celebration.

There are two funding rounds each year which generally open in February and September

Current Round 13 closes: September 29, 2021

The above funding period is for projects commencing from 1 February 2022.

ADDITIONAL FUNDING AVAILABLE

An additional $2.4 million is available in this funding round for activities which are part of a festival or community celebration in regional or remote Australia. The extra funding for the Festivals Australia program was announced as part of the Regional Arts Tourism package.

THREE PROJECTS PER FESTIVALS NOW ELIGIBLE

In this round (13), up to three discrete projects can be funded per organisation, per festival. This means that if you already have a project receiving Festivals Australia funding, you can apply for up to two more projects in the same festival. Separate applications for each project must be submitted and each one will be assessed independently.
