The Lloyd Rees Memorial Art Award

This Biannual Art Award is supported by the Lane Cove Council and Centrehouse Community Art Centre& Gallery Lane Cove. It is open to emerging Australian artists 18 to 30 years, working in the mediums of painting, printmaking and drawing. Read more

Artform Fellowships

Create NSW

The Arts and Cultural Development Program supports a range of Fellowships and Scholarships for emerging, mid-career and established artists and arts/cultural workers across a range of artforms and priority areas.

Applicants from all artforms, including dance, design, digital arts, history, Aboriginal arts and culture, literature, music, theatre, moving image, filmmaking (Priority fellowships), community arts, collections and cultural heritage, curatorial and the visual arts are invited to apply.

Who can apply?

  • Professional NSW artists, practitioners, creative partnerships/groups or arts and cultural workers
  • All Fellowships are open to all arts and cultural practitioners at any stage of their career, unless otherwise specified.

Funding range: 

  • Scholarships are valued at $10,000
  • Artform Fellowships are valued at $30,000
  • Priority Fellowships are valued at $50,000.

NSW Grandparents Day Grants

NSW Family and Community Services

Applications for 2016 NSW Grandparents Day grants closed on Friday 12 August.

Grants will fund organisations to deliver events that encourage intergenerational learning and/or offer older people ongoing opportunities to participate in their local communities.

Category 1: $100 to $1,000 for small-scale local community events or activities targeted at community organisations and schools

Category 2: $1001 – $5,000 for large-scale regional events that are targeted at specific communities or targeted at local government and larger community organisations Read more

Regional Capital

Create NSW

Funds are available for the improvement of arts and cultural infrastructure and the purchase of equipment used for arts and cultural purposes.

  • Organisations based in regional NSW.

Funding range:

  • Create NSW will provide matched funding of up to $60,000
  • Applications must clearly demonstrate that capital items purchased will be used primarily for arts purposes, and/or to improve the usability of arts and cultural facilities.

Building Safe Communities for Women

Australian Government Department of Social Services

The Australian Government is inviting applications for projects under Building Safe Communities for Women and their Children funding round which is open to local community groups, not-for-profit organisations and local governments.

These grants are designed to support communities to develop and implement practical solutions to reduce violence against women and their children in their own community; to help prevent this violence into the future; and to make a positive difference for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence. Regional Partnerships

Create NSW

Regional Partnerships funding supports significant strategic and long-term partnerships in regional NSW that will stimulate strong and diverse regional arts and cultural activity, and leave a legacy.

This funding supports strategic partnerships across and beyond the arts and cultural sectors, including those with local government authorities or other public, private or community organisations.

  • Recipients of previous Regional Partnerships funding are eligible to apply for support to take a funded project into its next phase.

  • Up to $150,000 over a two-year period.

Elioth Gruner Prize

Art Gallery of NSW

The Art Gallery of NSW awards an annual prize of $1000 for excellence in the study of a landscape in oils. The applicant must be an art student who has lived in New South Wales for at least five years before entering the competition. Read more
