Ian Potter Cultural Trust Emerging Artists Grants

Ian Potter Foundation

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust aims to support and nurture a vibrant, diverse arts sector in Australia, and encourage the pursuit of excellence. Individual artists are the essential ‘building blocks’ of the sector, so the Trust’s grants work to reward commitment and passion, and support our most talented artists to develop their skills and achieve their potential.

The Trust offers grants of up to $7,000 to assist early career artists of exceptional talent to undertake professional development, usually overseas. International professional development opportunities allow emerging or early-career artists to gain experience, develop networks and learn skills from the world’s best. We believe these experiences are invaluable for the individual artists and for the ongoing development sector as a whole.

The Cultural Trust funds nationally, and across the Arts sector spanning traditional art forms right through to experimental mediums. We seek to support artists in a wide range of practice areas including:

  • visual arts
  • performing arts
  • dance
  • music
  • literature
  • design
  • multimedia/moving image and,
  • conservation/moveable cultural heritage.
