Hosted by Albury City Council, the Keeping it Real conference provides regional cultural workers and volunteers affordable access to current cultural practice, practical workshops and opportunity to engage, be inspired and be able to implement new practices in their own workplaces. Read more

Indent 2012 regional tour workshops

This August Indent is visiting regional venues across the state to deliver free music industry and event management workshops. The workshops give young people the skills to stage their own music events from start to finish and will be held in the towns that will host the Indent Tour later this year: Gosford, Coffs Harbour, Armidale, Iverell, Byron Bay and Kyogle. Arts Northern Rivers Funding Workshop

Arts Northern Rivers will run a series of one day workshops examining key strategies in writing successful grant applications, including a close up look at best practice examples: 24 July - Tweed Regional Gallery, Murwillumbah 25 July - Grafton Regional Gallery 26 July - Brunswick Heads Community Centre There will also be opportunity for attendees to book in for a one-on-one consultation after the workshop, for feedback on any grant applications in progess. Bright Sparks: calling all creative businesses

Murray Arts will present Bright Sparks, a day for individuals looking to launch a business in the creative industries, on August 20. From graphic designers, to publishers, writers, photographers and film makers, participants should be willing to think about themselves as a business, and be open to ideas about how they might grow and change their businesses.
