Artstate Bathurst 2018 Unveils Festival Program

Today at the Australian Museum, Regional Arts NSW announced the program for Artstate Bathurst, a four-day event that will bring an expected 200 arts delegates to the city from 1st to 4th November 2018. Artstate is a four-year program presented by Regional Arts NSW which aims to shine a light on excellence in regional arts practice and to explore the exciting possibilities for arts and cultural development across the state. Bello Winter Music 2018 Wraps Up a Sell-Out Success

In its fourth outing, Bello Winter Music (12-15 July) was once again a sell-out success that saw thousands of patrons fill the halls, cafes, clubs and streets of the picturesque Mid North Coast town of Bellingen. Wendy Whiteley to Open Sculptures in the Garden 2018

Regional Australia’s premier sculpture exhibition, Sculptures in the Garden is excited to announce that Wendy Whiteley has been confirmed to open this year’s event. Whiteley, who is well known for her contribution to the Arts and her secret garden in Sydney’s Lavender Bay, will be involved in the two-day event for the first time. Read more

Gunnedah Shire Council | NAIDOC 2018

NAIDOC Week is nearly here, and Gunnedah has celebrations for the whole community to enjoy. From 9 July to 15 July there will be a range of activities sharing Aboriginal culture and honouring the rich heritage of the Gamilaroi people. Read more

South East NSW Hosts Australia's Newest Aboriginal Festival

In less than three months, on 22 September, South East NSW will host the newest Aboriginal festival in the nation – the inaugural Giiyong Festival, taking place at Jigamy, just north of Eden. Twofold Aboriginal Corporation, Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council and South East Arts are working together to present this one day multi-arts festival. Read more

RAF Project | REC Ya Shorts 2018 Escapes to New Regions

Now in its fourth year, the REC Ya Shorts Youth Film Festival is rolling out around Regional Australia for 2018, on the search for the next wave of young Australian filmmakers. This year’s program will also see over 70 in-school filmmaking and mental health workshops come to schools throughout Regional NSW for students interested in learning what it’s all about behind the camera lens. Mullum Music Festival 2018 First Line-Up Announcement

Celebrating its 11th year the small but mighty Mullum Music Festival (November 15-18) is giving music lovers a taste of the wonders to come with its first artist announcement. Travelling from all corners of the world to rock the NSW North Coast town of Mullumbimby, the line-up includes the electrifying Nigerian Tuareg guitarist and songwriter, ‘The Sultan of Shred’, Bombino with his band. Bello LeaF at Bello Winter Music

Bello Winter Music has partnered with the Bellingen Shire Learning Alliance, and the newly established Coffs Coast Regional Science Hub to present Bello LeaF – a popular program of sustainability and environment focused  workshops, tours and forums that runs alongside the 2018 music festival.
