Tyalgum Music Festival 2019

Tyaglum Music Festival is an annual classical music festival held in Tyalgum, New South Wales and is one of Australia’s premier classical music events. Tyalgum is part of the Green Cauldron –¬†one of the few places in Australia where mountain forests meet the ocean – and less than an hour’s drive from Gold Coast Airport.

The Festival features some of Australia’s finest professional and emerging classical musicians, and will include the performance of commissioned new works by Australian composers that will be premiered at the Festival. The Festival will also include a vibrant fringe program highlighting Music, Art and Nature in the Green Cauldron.

The Tyalgum Music Festival began in 1991 when concert violinists Carmel Kaine and John Willison discovered the idyllic acoustics of the Tyalgum Literary Institute Hall. Since then, numerous artists have ranked the 1908 village hall alongside some of the best acoustic concert venues in the world.
