Scone and Upper Hunter Horse Festival

Scone is the Horse Capital of Australia and the Scone Horse Festival celebrates the place where horses reign and where each year many people from within the region and from far afield come to share the community’s pride in the area and their equine industry.
 
The Scone Horse Festival is a unique event that takes place each year in May. The festival includes remarkable events that showcase the versatility of the horse and the important role they play in the local area. Events include the Street Parade, Rodeo, Farriers Competition, Tent Pegging, Polo, Vaulting and lots more! The festival ends with the famous Scone Cup Carnival and an amazing fireworks display at Lake Glenbawn.
