Mudgee Readers Festival
Our cracking Mudgee Readers’ Festival program is now available, with a swag of writers and performers set to inspire your reading. We’re bringing stories to the beautiful Mudgee region on 17 & 18 August, with everything from book-making and engaging discussions to strange but true stories and of course, great food and wine to accompany the sparkling conversation.
When a passionate bunch of readers staged events in the park as the beginning of this fabulous little festival, we never expected how much of an impact it would have on the local community and visitors alike. Now, we’ve grown our humble reading passion into a mammoth line-up of exciting events.
Have a decadent four course dinner with Mike Munro or a Long Lazy Lunch with The Dressmaker author Rosalie Ham. Enjoy coffee and breakfast with Benjamin Law, then share stories with Finishing School Collective; compete in an Australian Poetry Slam heat; laugh and cry with Queerstories; unearth stories from across the Central West in Homegrown Stories.
MRF Morning Yoga will stretch your body; Blind Wines, Blind Books will challenge you to pair local wines with books from our programmed authors. High Tea from A Basket by the Door will provide an intimate afternoon with Central West food writer Sophie Hansen.
