Man from Ironbark Festival

Banjo Paterson’s The Man from Ironbark is well known throughout Australia, now the village made famous by the poem, Stuart Town (formerly Ironbarks), is celebrating its history, culture and creativity through the Man from Ironbark Festival.
estival starts 9am, Official opening 10.30am, Street Parade 11am, Poetry Competitions 2pm, Afternoon music 3.30pm and all day entertainment.
Market stalls, displays, food stalls, outback kitchen, guess the sheep weight, demonstrations, street parade, ride on convoy, helicopter, children activities, chocolate wheel, Cobb and Co rides, beard comp, bush yarns, poetry, amateur poetry competition, entertainment, gold panning, art exhibition and plenty more.
Featuring the first appearance in Central West NSW of the ‘Canberra Dragon Dance’ Chinese dragon and lion dancers, award winning poets Carol Heuchan and Bob ‘PA’ Kettle and popular local entertainer Barry Dickerson and friends.
