Byron Bay International Film Festival

The Byron Bay International Film Festival (BBFF) returns to the idyllic surrounds of Byron Bay from 18 – 27 October for its 13th year.

BBFF is a highlight for local and international filmmakers and film-lovers alike, each year screening films spanning all genres and lengths from around the world. Previous years of the BBFF have attracted film entries from up to 50 countries, while BBFF Awards have been given for categories including Best Film, Best Short Film, Best Music Video, Best Young Australian Filmmaker, and many more.

The Festival will be spread across night-spots and multiple cinema venues including Byron’s world-class Byron Theatre at the local Community Centre and the Pighouse Flicks arthouse cinemas. Explore the hidden gems of the surrounding region with screenings also occurring at the Brunswick Picture House, and also at venues a short drive away through lush hinterland to Lismore and Murwillumbah.

Exciting festival events have also been planned in between screenings, which will be confirmed in the coming months.
