Deniliquin | 'Warrang-Warrang' at Yarkuwa Indigenous Knowledge Centre

Yarkuwa Indigenous Knowledge Centre in collaboration with South West Arts and South West Music invite you to their Warrang-Warrang event which will be held on 1st June.
 
Warrang-Warrang (song corroboree) is on Thursday 1 June from 3.30 – 7pm and is part of Reconciliation Week. Enjoy a performance competition, weaving demonstrations, bush tucker and more.The Warrang-Warrang is part of the local language regeneration project and participants will be encouraged to perform songs, poetry and other writing with local language content. It will be the first public event in the new ‘Tumikal Kulkən’ youth space at Yarkuwa.
 
To help young people prepare works for the Warrang-Warrang, Yarkuwa and South West Music are running youth songwriting workshops with Indigenous musician Benny Walker in May. These will be free, but there are limited spots.
