Wagga Wagga Art Gallery | The Wired Lab: The Edge
Image: Ella Murphy, ‘Fire’s Edge’, 2017, digital photograph (detail).
The Edge showcases the photographic outcomes of an eighteen month skills development project for young people living in the rural communities of Tumut and Cootamundra.
Throughout 2016 and 2017 these young people worked with contemporary Australian photographer Tamara Dean, where they learnt various photographic techniques while documenting their interactions in their localities. The exhibition was opened on Friday 1 June by Elizabeth Rogers, CEO of Regional Arts NSW.
This project was created and facilitated by The Wired Lab. It was made possible by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, provided through Regional Arts Australia and Regional Arts NSW, the NSW Government through Create NSW and the Australia Council for the Arts.
