Unfold is a joint photographic exhibition featuring the work of local artists Brent Logan and Tayla Martin now on display in the E3 art space at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery. The exhibition unfolds the stories of people living in regional communities of New South Wales, with whom each artist has engaged on journeys between Wagga Wagga and their hometowns of Grenfell and Nyngan.

Both artists grew up in small communities, which has had a major influence on their practice and the way they interact with their subjects. Their intentions in this exhibition are to reflect the connections and relationships they create as photographers to their subjects, shown through a variety of people and communities, in the genre of environmental portraiture.

Tayla Martin and Brent Logan have studied photography through the Charles Sturt University Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (BCAD) course at the Wagga Wagga campus. Both artists have exhibited in several group exhibitions, and Brent Logan is currently undertaking a Masters of Creative Practice through Charles Sturt University.

Unfold: Tayla Martin & Brent Logan will be officially launched on Saturday 15 July by Dr. Jamie Holcombe, Senior Lecturer in Photography and Digital Imaging at Charles Sturt University’s Wagga Wagga campus. The exhibition will be on display in the E3 art space at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery from Saturday 15 July until Sunday 23 July, 2017.
