Outback Arts | 2016 Outback Archies Tour

touring exhibition

Established in 2011 the Outback Archies is an exhibition aimed at providing artistic opportunities for artists living in rural, regional and remote NSW.

Outback Arts, in coordination with surrounding Regional Art Development Organisations, works to showcase the contributing artists to both a local and visiting audience through the exhibition.

As the only major exhibition and competition of its type in Far Western NSW. the competition is both a resource and an opportunity for organisations and artists to promote their work.

Prizes are given in the categories of Photographic & Digital Art, 3-D Design & Sculpture (including ceramics & glass art) and Open Art (Painting, drawing, etching and drawing) with entries and prizes assessed by a panel. A prize is awarded to winning artists in each section as well as People’s Choice and an award to the most Outstanding Indigenous Artist.
