Orange Regional Conservatorium | Winter Workshops

The Orange Regional Conservatorium (ORC) will again present our Winter Workshops series these July school holidays. These workshops will not only keep young musicians busy and inspired but there will be plenty for adults and all members of the community. There is also a big focus on exam preparation, with all AMEB exam students from the region invited to come along.

The week will kick off Monday 9th July with Glee Clubs for all ages. ORC Head of Voice Samantha Bartholomeusz invites lovers of singing and movement of any age to come along and join in the fun, this year’s Glee Clubs will feature some much loved Disney classics. There is plenty more singing happening during the week with workshops covering pop to classical, how to build confidence and more.

The AMEB exams are just around the corner for many Orange musicians, which is why we are offering a huge range of workshops designed to cover all the exam essentials like sight reading, listening skills, general knowledge and performance practice. Anyone in the community entering an AMEB exam is invited to come along to work with our expert accompanists and musicianship teachers to help maximise their results.

There will also be plenty on offer for those music lovers who would like to try something different, we are pleased to be presenting workshops in song writing, improvisation and music mediation. Whether you’re a music student or musician looking to expand your knowledge or just someone interested in learning something new, these workshops are sure to inspire creativity and be a whole lot of fun.

The ORC Winter Workshops are open to all members of the community and are a great way to learn about the conservatorium has to offer. Entry to each workshop is only $15 and times, days and further information can be found at www.orangecon.org.au or by contacting ORC admin on 6361 7974.
