Student applications are now open for the Artist in Residence Environmental Arts Camp.
The Artist in Residence Environmental Arts Camp is an innovative three-day multidisciplinary arts camp for Stage 3 (Years 5-6) students hosted at Dorroughby Environmental Education Centre in Term 2 Week 9 (June 20-22). Students participate in activities that contribute to their well-being, and help them to contribute as informed citizens to our society.
Professional artist and teachers from the Northern Rivers area offer rich, interesting and well-structured environmental arts workshops that will enrich, inspire and engage students in high quality environmental arts practices.
The camp responds to local school needs to provide high quality professional creative arts opportunities for teachers and students that complement and extend local schools artistic knowledge, skills and capacity on their pathways to excellence. This program is great for rural and remote schools that do not always have access to resources, experienced tutors or state of the art technology.
