Murray Arts | The Dressmaker Exhibition at Albury LibraryMuseum

For the month of February, Albury’s LibraryMuseum will be displaying the spectacular haute couture costumes from the iconic Australian film, The Dressmaker

Based on the novel by Rosalie Ham and directed by Jocelyn Moorehouse, The Dressmaker stars Kate Winslet as Tilly Dunnage, a glamorous woman who returns to her rural Australian hometown in the 1950s, transforming the women around her and wrecking revenge on those who have wronged her.

The LibraryMuseum exhibition showcases the exquisite costumes from the film, which were created by the award-winning costume designer Marion Boyce. Visitors can learn how the costumes were made and developed, and discover the immense level of detail and artisanship that went into these beautiful designs.

The LibraryMuseum is also holding a Vintage Fashion Night on Friday 29 March to farewell the exhibition.
