Man & Beast at Manning Regional Art Gallery
Hunter Valley artist, Eric Werkhoven exhibits in Taree
Australia’s nightfall and dark places are haunted by myths of yowies, bunyips , rogue panthers, drop bears and Min Min lights. Man has had to grapple with his most primal fears of the unknown, when beasts at night take on terrifying proportions and shadows can loom and menace in the flickering campfire.
Artist Eric Werkhoven from Gresford in the Hunter Valley presents a solo exhibition of
sculptures entitled MAN & BEAST at Manning Regional Art Gallery, Taree.
Eric says about his work “So the two dominant powers are working together symbol and
myth of an ancient rite which still enthrals and delights us.”
The show officially opens Friday 12 July at 6pm. Meet the artist (refreshments provided)
