Jacob Cordover to Perform in Hay

South West Arts hosts International Classical Guitarist

 

South West Music in conjunction with South West Arts is proud to present internationally renowned classical guitarist Jacob Cordover in concert at Bishop’s Lodge in Hay.

Jacob will perform a total of twelve recitals in Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and throughout NSW as part of ‘The Bush Concert Series’ this includes Jerilderie, Hay and Mathoura.

Currently residing in Barcelona, Australian guitarist Jacob Cordover has built an impressive, international career. His “consummate artistry” (Adelaide Advertiser, Australia) has enticed audiences in over a dozen countries across four continents.

During his May tour, audiences can expect to hear Jacob perform a range of music that reflects his varied musical and personal background, with his concerts including Australian compositions alongside Spanish masterpieces as well as standard works from the classical guitar repertoire. Jacob will be joined by special guest Laura Karney (oboe and cor anglais).

South West Music in partnership with South West Arts received Arts NSW funding through the Regional Conservatorium Association, to hold a series of concerts in 2013 titled ‘The Bush Concert Series’. South West Arts Regional Development Officer Alyce Fisher comments “We are really lucky to have an international performer of Jacob’s calibre tour our region for a series of intimate concerts.”
