It's ArtOut plus Vintage in Deniliquin - Easter Saturday
The call is out to artists and artisans throughout the state for the ArtOut event in Deniliquin on Easter Saturday, 4 April from 9am to 4pm, and this year the organisers are also looking for stallholders for the Vintage ArtOut.
Organised by staff from South West Arts, ArtOut and VintageArtOut will be held in the Waring Gardens with the lively atmosphere provided by local buskers. Space will be provided in the MultiArts hall for vintage wares – quality clothing and apparel – tapping into the current trend for popular quality vintage clothing items.
The event will coincide with the Rotary Easter Art Exhibition.
South West Arts Regional Arts Development Officer/Executive Officer, Wendy Shorthouse said the complementary arts events will ensure a vibrant atmosphere in Deniliquin and that visitors to the region have a positive arts experience over the Easter weekend.
‘Visiting hipsters can grab a classic purchase from the VintageOut stalls in the hall, while ArtOut is an excellent opportunity for local creative people from any arts discipline – visual art, creative writing, ceramics, sculpture to exhibit and sell their work, providing ideal promotion of the high quality creativity in our region.
‘It’s also a great opportunity for people to meet the maker at the exhibitor stalls,’ Ms Shorthouse said.
Last years ArtOut attracted 22 stalls, with a vibrant atmosphere provided by young local buskers, excellent gourmet food by Naponda Auxilliary. Stallholders reported extremely successful sales, with some totally selling out of their handcrafted products.
Deniliquin Council is assisting South West Arts to facilitate the ArtOut event in Deniliquin on Easter Saturday morning. The complementary arts events in town that weekend make Deniliquin ideal as in artistic destination.
