Griffith Regional Art Gallery & Western Riverina Arts | Murru

From November 10 to December 2, Western Riverina Arts will present in partnership with the Griffith Regional Art Gallery MURRU, an Aboriginal arts project celebrating Wiradjuri culture and showcasing the incredible artworks of Indigenous artists from the region.

Join Western Riverina Arts and the artists for the Official Opening at Griffith Regional Art Gallery on Wednesday November 14 at 12pm, where attendees will celebrate the creativity of local Aboriginal Artists with a free BBQ lunch and some fantastic Indigenous performances.

Following the remarkable success of Murrumbidgee Marramarra and Warangesda: Deep Waters, the third iteration of our Aboriginal arts project gives local Indigenous artists the opportunity to showcase their artworks in a major regional art gallery. Like these earlier exhibitions MURRU will feature quality works and has been supported by a program of workshops and professional development activities for local Aboriginal artists.
