Goulburn Regional Conservatorium | Tinkle and Honk Concert
The Goulburn Regional Conservatorium holds a special concert on Tuesday 20 March 7.30pm to welcome the latest staff members to the faculty.
John Martin, acclaimed pianist and accompanist joins forces with Kyle Eardley, highly sought after freelance trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist, in a stellar concert that mixes classical and jazz and all genres in between. The concert highlights the growing high standard of teaching staff at the Conservatorium who are not only exemplary educators but who are also impeccable performers in their musical fields.
John Martin has often been featured on ABC Classic FM, with the 2013 release on the Wirripang label The Ring of New Bells – a collection of Miriam Hyde’s piano works- being given extensive airplay. John has been Musical Director for Australia’s Got Talent winner Mark Vincent, The Australian Tenors and Remembering the Carpenters with Lisa Budin and he joins the GRC as our official accompanist for students sitting any form of music exams.
Kyle Eardley joins our rising brass faculty as well as helping to develop our in-school music programs. Kyle comes fresh from the Sydney Conservatorium where he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance on Trumpet. Kyle’s perfect trumpet sound has already seen him tour state-wide, Malaysia and the USA with some of the biggest names in Australian and international jazz, including James Morrison, Judy Bailey, Fred Wesley (USA), Arturo Sandoval (USA) and Florian Ross (GER).
Tinkle and Honk, a concert introducing John Martin and Kyle Eardley, will be presented in the Paviour Recital Hall at the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium on Tuesday 20 March 7.30pm.
