Friends of the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery | MONA comes to Coffs Harbour
Leigh Carmichael, the creative mind behind the MONA effect, shares his secrets at this gala fundraising dinner. Enjoy an evening of creative inspiration, cool jazz and fine dining, while supporting Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery.
Be inspired by Leigh Carmichael, the original Creative Director at Hobart’s world-class Museum of Old and New Art and the current Creative Director of MONA’s DarkLab, including Dark Mofo. Leigh reveals the imagination behind “the MONA effect” that has seen Hobart’s tourism soar and benefits flow for the community and economy. What can we learn from this?
Be entertained by the Pablo Blitzer Quintet, with their daring works of contemporary jazz, lead by Argentinian composer and multi-instrumentalist Pablo Blitzer.
Enjoy a delicious three course menu, designed by executive chef Matt Donovan of the Surf Club Restaurant, with selected fine wines, beer and soft drinks flowing throughout the night.
All proceeds from this special fundraising event go towards acquiring new artworks in anticipation of the new cultural precinct planned including a new regional gallery.
