Free Grant Writing Workshop | Berrigan

Would you like to learn more about what funding is available, where it is and how to apply for it? South West Arts is excited to present a FREE workshop on Wednesday 28th May with lunch provided in Berrigan.

The workshop will be presented by Regional Arts NSW’s Funding Manager, Ben Sibson, and will cover an overview of the funding programs Regional Arts NSW devolve from state and federal government including the Country Arts Support Program (CASP) and the Regional Arts Fund, the Australia Council, and Arts NSW funding programs.

The presentation will include:

  • general grant writing techniques
  • project planning advice
  • “hands on” workshop session dealing with writing and assessing applications, based on the Regional Arts Fund application process

Ben’s professional history as an arts practitioner and administrator, has seen him engage with grants processes from the perspective of an applicant (both successful and unsuccessful), a member of assessment panels and an administrator of funds. He will share the insights that these differing viewpoints have provided.

It’s important to remember arts is involved in all sectors including:

  • health
  • education
  • disabilities
  • community planning
  • infrastructure
  • small business
  • youth
  • tourism
  • ageing

If you work or volunteer in any of these industries you will benefit from attending the workshop.

Whether you’re looking for $500 for a small community project through to $20,000 or more for ongoing programs and partnerships, this workshop is for you.
