Serenades to the Sky | Lucy Vader
25 March – 30 April 2017

With guest speaker, Michael Reid, art dealer

Artist Lucy Vader comes from a family who have been farmers for generations and she continuously finds inspiration in the life of the land. In this exhibition she explores a world of wide, grassy paddocks frequently populated by sheep, painted using a technique where thick sumptuous layers blur the distinction between abstraction and representation.

Supported by Michael Reid Gallery, Murrurundi.

Of Things Unconvential | Hayley Ward
25 March – 30 April 2017

Using found materials such as old books, discarded fabrics, patterns and old clothes, Hayley Ward ‘stitches’ pieces together into new objects. Ward reinvents old things and seeks to bring attention to their history and quality of imperfect beauty.
