Eastern Riverina Arts and PLATFORM  would like to invite you to free workshops taking place in Wagga at the Commercial Club on Saturday 4 April 2020.

Workshop 1: Greeting & Guiding People who are Blind or Have Low Vision

TIME: 9am to 12pm

A comprehensive introduction to greeting and guiding people who are Blind or have low vision.

Ideal for:

  • Front-line venue staff & their managers/coordinators.
  • Arts & cultural staff from Local Government.
  • Facilities & assets managers.

Workshop 2: Introduction to Audio Description

TIME: 1pm to 4pm

A practical and creative guide to audio description, and interpretive access practice that makes the visual verbal to enhance access to visual media for people who are Blind or have low vision. Audio description teaches describers how to see differently, and prioritise information based on the needs of the Blind and low vision community.

Ideal for:

  • Front-line venue staff & their managers/coordinators.
  • Writers, directors, and artists.
  • Producers, curators, and experience designers.
  • Teaching artists and trainers.
  • Staff from Disability service organisations and agencies.
