The Song Company Return to Orange to Present a Thousand Years of Voice
The Orange Regional Conservatorium (ORC) will proudly host The Song Company in concert Saturday 14th October at 6:30pm. Australia’s leading vocal ensemble will present an A Capella journey through time with their Arrow of Song program.
Traversing a thousand years of voice, audiences will hear everything from early Chant to The Beatles. The Song Company are not only a collection of distinguished singers and performers, but are passionate educators who will explore the history of song with the audience, in what is sure to be an unmissable event for anyone with a love of singing.
“The Song Company have been engaging and inspiring singers and music lovers for decades, and this particular performance is sure to continue that tradition. Six voices working so closely together is such a unique sound, totally immersive and powerful.” said Samantha Bartholomeusz Head of Voice at the ORC, “We are very fortunate to have the perfect space for this kind of performance, our auditorium really comes alive with A Capella voice”
The Song Company members will also present a vocal workshop that morning at 11:00am to work with aspiring singers of all ages and skill levels. An exciting opportunity to learn from some of the finest vocalists in the country. The workshop is open to all members of the public and costs only $15.
The evening will include timeless works by the likes of Monteverdi and Bach through to more modern interpretations of Cage and Beatles classics.
