New Board for South East Arts

The recent Annual General Meeting of South East Arts held at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre, welcomed new board members and farewelled outgoing members. Ian Campbell has stepped down as Chair, but remains on the Marketing and Fundraising sub-committee and Silas Dunstan stepped down as Treasurer after five years of service. Other departing members were Trisha Dixon and Steve Ross. Read more

Gunnedah Shire Council Enriches Arts and Culture with Funding Allocation

Gunnedah Shire Council has provided a boost to the arts and culture scene, with more than $16,000 granted to local groups under the new Arts and Cultural Funding Program. Following submissions, a selection panel was appointed and recommended a total of $16,751.00 in grant funding to be distributed among five groups. Read more

Nominations for the awards, which celebrate outstanding achievement by local government organisations in strategic planning and delivery of arts and culture to local communities, are now open. Creative Partnerships Australia is offering a one-off matched funding initiative to first-time users of the Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) to give fundraising campaigns a boost. Screenworks | Regional Stories to Screen Across Global Skies

Artists and filmmakers across regional NSW will soon have their stories seen on screens in the sky after Screenworks today announced that the second series of the CREATEABILITY short film collection has been licensed by Virgin Australia for all domestic and international flights.
