Research Trip to Uncover Stories of Synergy in Art and Life

Margaret Olley Art Centre's Curator has been awarded a prestigiuous travel grant to France to research a friend and colleague of Margaret Olley, expatriate Australian painter, Fred Jessup. Ingrid Hedgcock - who is also Collections Manager at Tweed Regional Gallery - has been awarded a 2018 Darling Travel Grant Global, by the Gordon Darling Foundation. Read more

Four Winds | Sheena Boughen recognised with Queen’s Birthday Honour

Four Winds is incredibly proud of its Life Ambassador, Sheena Boughen, who has been awarded an OAM in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list. Sheena’s tireless work as a pro-bono CEO and Chair of Four Winds over many years has resulted in world class music performance spaces being developed in Barragga Bay, Bermagui, on the Far South Coast of NSW. 2018 Annual Appeal Looks to NERAM’s Future

The New England Regional Art Museum is asking the community to support the development of the NERAM Foundation’s by donating money to the 2018 NERAM Annual Appeal. The NERAM Foundation invests the funds raised with the aim of generating an ongoing income stream to assist the operations of the New England Regional Art Museum each year. Read more

RAF Project | REC Ya Shorts 2018 Escapes to New Regions

Now in its fourth year, the REC Ya Shorts Youth Film Festival is rolling out around Regional Australia for 2018, on the search for the next wave of young Australian filmmakers. This year’s program will also see over 70 in-school filmmaking and mental health workshops come to schools throughout Regional NSW for students interested in learning what it’s all about behind the camera lens. Mullum Music Festival 2018 First Line-Up Announcement

Celebrating its 11th year the small but mighty Mullum Music Festival (November 15-18) is giving music lovers a taste of the wonders to come with its first artist announcement. Travelling from all corners of the world to rock the NSW North Coast town of Mullumbimby, the line-up includes the electrifying Nigerian Tuareg guitarist and songwriter, ‘The Sultan of Shred’, Bombino with his band. New Board for South East Arts

The recent Annual General Meeting of South East Arts held at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre, welcomed new board members and farewelled outgoing members. Ian Campbell has stepped down as Chair, but remains on the Marketing and Fundraising sub-committee and Silas Dunstan stepped down as Treasurer after five years of service. Other departing members were Trisha Dixon and Steve Ross. Read more
