Fresh Pastures for Iconic TV Series Filmed in the Tweed

An important piece of local and television history will return to the screen, thanks to lobbying from the Tweed Regional Museum and passionate community members. The museum has been collaborating with the ABC to secure the re-release of a local classic - the iconic and nationally significant 1969 ABC TV mini series; Pastures of the Blue Crane. Tweed Regional Museum Working Towards Dementia Awareness

Tweed Regional Museum's Director, Judy Kean and her staff have been recognised by Dementia Australia for their efforts to make the museum a more accessible place for people with dementia. The Tweed Dementia Action Group recently presented Ms Kean with a certificate of recognition. Read more

Mudgee's Sculptures in the Garden Exhibited its Biggest Ever Collection

Australia’s premier regional sculpture exhibition, Sculptures in the Garden, was held at Rosby winery in Mudgee over the weekend with over 3,500 people attending the much-anticipated annual event, up a thousand people from last year. Special guest and revered patron of Australian art, Wendy Whiteley opened the exhibition, which showcased the largest ever collection of works with nearly 50% sold throughout the weekend. Read more

The Big Skies Collaboration | Skywriters Anthology 2019

The Big Skies Collaboration are now accepting submissions to the Skywriters Anthology, a royalty title in print and eBook formats (pdf, ePub and Kindle versions). It will be distributed under a global license held by the publisher, Interactive Publications Pty Ltd (IP). Creative writers and aspiring writers are invited to submit skystories about their own or other people’s (or other beings?) relationships with celestial phenomena, as experienced from within the fuzzy borders of the region defined as the 700 Kilometre Array (700KA) of inland New South Wales. Byron Bay International Film Festival | Byron Bay – a Meeting Place for Innovative New Realities

Most film-lovers would be familiar with Weta Workshop, New Zealand’s world-leading design and effects facility behind the ground-breaking other-world settings and characters in films including Avatar, King Kong and Lord of the Rings. Weta have also been deeply involved in developing content for the Magic Leap One, the upcoming Mixed Reality headset from one of the most well-funded start-ups in history, a technology that until now has been veiled in secrecy – and that most people know from the social media video of a whale breaching inside a basketball court. Mudgee's Sculptures in the Garden to Exhibit Biggest Ever Collection

Regional sculpture exhibition, Sculptures in the Garden has announced that this year will see an unprecedented amount of artists enter the exhibition. The annual two-day exhibition, being held at Rosby winery in Mudgee on the 6th and 7th of October, will have over 250 works for sale from exhibiting artists from right across Australia. Read more
